It's that time of year again. Put down that turkey leg and consume capitalism! We've got a few new designs in time for the holidays. By far my favorite is the Mob 100 shirt. Again it's one of those designs I make for myself and hope it sells. Hope you like it too!
Oh and, if you haven't seen Mob Psycho 100 already I highly encourage you to check it out.
It's by the same people who did One Punch Man. Excellent animation, funny/engaging story, and amazing fight scenes. And Arataka Reigen is a god damned gift to humanity.
HAS IT BEEN SO LONG SINCE A NEWS POST. Yes I believe so.
So I've come to a decision not to cover a current event/news unless I can get it done faster. The Switch Trailer out about a month ago. So this comic is nothing but the most timely commentary *ever*.
In any case, that trailer.
I really don't know who it was marketed to. Someone doing quite well for himself. Living in a nice place, traveling, being hip, ....underground basketball tournaments in the middle of the night, but also can't stop for one moment to put the video games down. Now I love me some marathon sessions but dude, put it down for like a minute.
Nintendo had to come out after and maintain that this was a console first and not portable. Despite the trailer featuring the opposite. Without such a heavy focus on the actors this trailer would be FAR more watchable. As shown by this re-edit.
I mean I just don't think I'd ever take it out with me. For traveling it should be fun but, for the day to day? Nah. I'd rather just play on my phone to be honest. Failing that I'd just take the 3DS. I don't feel the need to take a game with me everywhere I go. Let alone the pocket space that thing would take up.
I'm sure kids would enjoy this console. I know mine will. But then why market this ad to adults. Then up sell portability and come out saying it's a console. I dunno, Shits weird..
First, that uou for the support on Patreon. <3 u guys :) Also we had two comics go up. Here last week and here yesterday. Last Pokemon GO comic I promise... maybe. Probably not. Speaking of Pokemon though..
Nintento has a short series out animating some of the more memorable parts of the games.
Very well done. Reminds me that I reaaaally need to get Super Effective back up and going. Anyhoo, check out Pokemon Generations:
Also lets talk about Patreon. Started it about a year ago and its worked out pretty well. Ad revenue certainly isn't what it once was on the internet. So I've started concentrating on other things like shirts, Sponsorship (Loot),and Patreon to help keep the lights on. Your amazing support through has helped me a lot this past year.
New Shirts up for preorder! Now as usually these are on pre-order. Which means if it doesn't reach a sales bar it doesn't stay in the store. So get 'em today!
Team Skull will be only $15.99 until Wednesday. I know I'll be wearing mine when I pick up Sun/Moon. You can check out the new trailer over here.
It's been a while since I've been excited for a new Pokemon game. They just keep adding more and I can't keep up. So I'm glad they're going back to the classics and simply giving them new forms for this Island adventure.
So then, Pokemon GO. Thus far though I've enjoyed the game. Its fun to go out with my family and Pokehunt. And I've even dropped some cash in it to buy Pokeballs and Incense. Mainly due to my boy still learning how to throw dem balls.
I can see the popularity waning by winter up here. But for now it's a fun activity that actually gets us out of the house.
On the plus side it looks like they are trying and getting the in game tracking to finally work. So yaaay. What I'd really like to see is for next summer, after the fad has died down (and it will), to have Gen 2 pokemon added and get people playing again. One can dream...
I've been using shit phones for most of my life. Just wasn't that important that I upgraded. I mean I used the computer more. The blackberry I got (for free) a year ago was probably the most advanced I've ever had. Which isn't saying much.
So while on technical support for something else it turns out I've been eligible for a new phone for a while now. WHOOPS. So I'm finally joining the rest of society with a real smart phone. I'm a little late for the Miitome fad but at least I can finally play Pokemon Go. Now I have to go... outside....
Well E3 is good an over and we've got a few good things. Sony blew everyone away, Ubi was cringy, Nintendo had Zelda... and thats it, and Microsoft made a new console to play the games you have on your PC.
Lets talk about the New StarFox Zero. This is a game I've been looking forward to since it was announced that Platinum was developing it. As they've made awesome games like Bayonetta, Metal Gear Revengence, Viewtiful Joe, etc. So I knew it'd be a new experience but wow, it wasn't in a good way... at first.
The motion controls feel absolutely alien to anyone who's played any StarFox before. After playing the opening level for the first time I actually had to turn off the game in shock. Initially I felt it was horrible. However I did keep playing the next day.
While the controls are jarring to get used to, you do get used to them, and become fun. You really do have to take a step back and realize this is a new type of Starfox Game.
The N64 Starfox will always be there for you to go back and play. While this isn't as good it's not a bad game.
I appreciate the
attention to detail with the series as a whole. Brining back enemies from SNES to Command. The design of the characters are a throwback to SNES while keeping them looking new. As well the Story itself is a re-telling of the N64 story.
Which is why it's so hard not to compare it with the N64 StarFox. However It is it's own game. I've heard complaints about the new vehicles.
Though I've found the Copter and Bird transformation (LOVE the chicken wings) to be quite fun. The Tank though.... Asssssss.
In all this is a good game but, not a great game. I'd recommend it to anyone who'll give a new type of StarFox game a chance but, if you want a StarFox 64 experience. Play the game on 3DS
A new comic would be here... if we hadn't been sick for most of this month. Stomach bug then flu + babies/toddler = WHY GOD WHY. I've had so many fluids on me. Some of them mine. Sorry though, I'll get right back to it. More comics less excuses.
Edit: Whoops~ Almost forgot this.
On the topic of Mario Maker. It's been out for for a few months now and with any community dependant game that's usually a good time to get it. Both for better content and for a low price hopefully :P
Naturally there are a few themes to stages you might notice but, those good stages. Boy are they good. I usually play through the 100 Mario challenge to grind out some costumes (little over 100). For those levels that are absolute hell, there is a skip option.
Which I try not to use... but damn. I with the controller wasn't also my screen. Because I have wanted to launch that thing across the room.
In all a great pick up and play game that thankfully also recives free updates.
